We, and our affiliated entities, own, manage and operate real estate globally across multiple asset classes. We have a primary focus on opportunistic and value add investing, leveraging the strong operational capabilities of our partner companies in these areas, particularly for hospitality and residential assets.

We invest across the capital spectrum utilizing debt and equity, and where needed, collaborate with top-tier operating partners and service providers to help deploy capital and maximize returns.

Hospitality

Through AIM and affiliated entities, globally, we own more than 3,000 keys and manage or operate more than 16,000 keys.

We primarily invest into full service hotels in key gateway cities, with a specific focus on Dubai and Western Europe. We seek out opportunities that produce an ongoing yield and capital appreciation using our sourcing, structuring and operational capabilities to drive returns.

AIM’s hospitality advisory committee is comprised of global experts, with accomplished experience in the fields of investment management, asset management, development and operations.

Carlos Leal is the General Manager of United Investment Portugal (UIP), spearheading the company’s overall strategy and operations. Founded in 1985, UIP is one of Portugal's leading real estate developers, focusing on master plan developments, integrated resorts, and hospitality. The company owns and operates Pine Cliffs Resort in the Algarve and the Sheraton Cascais Resort in Lisbon. Before joining UIP in 1999, Carlos held several positions within the Murray & Roberts Group and Nedcor Group in South Africa.

Carlos’ experience spans over 30 years, including vast international knowledge and expertise in major leisure industry projects' investment, development, and asset management. A qualified Quantity Surveyor with post-graduate credentials in Management and Business Administration, he began his career in the construction industry before moving into the leisure resorts market, where he focused on project management and development.

Rob Burns is the CEO of The First Group, which develops and manages residential and hospitality assets in Dubai. The First Group operates several hospitality assets under its brand, ‘The First Collection,’ and is completing Ciel Tower, which will be the world’s tallest hotel. Rob has worked in commercial property development for almost 40 years and has played an instrumental part in building The First Group into one of the region’s largest Real Estate Developers.

With a BS in International Management from the University of Wales and a BS in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the Glion Hotel School in Switzerland, Hubert's career has been deeply rooted in the hospitality industry. Before YOTEL, he successfully led Raimon Land PLC as CEO, transforming it into a top-performing real estate developer in Thailand. He also held key roles at IFA Hotels & Resorts and HVS, further honing his hospitality, tourism, and real estate expertise.

Greg O’Stean is the CEO of United Hospitality Management (UHM) and has over 35 years of institutional real estate investment expertise. Before joining UHM, Greg was the Chief Development Officer at Aimbridge, the world’s largest third-party hotel manager, where he was responsible for growing the business by over 20,000 keys per year. Greg previously served as the Chief Investment Officer for Loews Hotels and the Chief Development Officer for Radisson Hotel Group - Americas.

In addition, Greg has also served as Chief Investor Relations Officer at GE Capital, where he was responsible for raising billions of dollars from institutional investors to recapitalize the company’s USD 90 billion global commercial real estate portfolio following the 2008 Global Financial Crisis.

With more than 25 years of industry experience, Patrick moved to the Middle East in 2004 and was a pivotal founding member of IFA Hotels & Resorts. Patrick was a key player in the company's regional and international expansion and then led the Middle East Development team for two years before subsequently setting up what is now the Strive Services Group.

Strive Service Group is a fully integrated property services group, comprising more than 25 real estate related service companies organized into four business divisions. The Group provides hospitality, facility and real estate services on a contract and consumer basis within its separate integrated business streams serving each sector and employs more than 1,000 staff. Patrick leads the operational and strategic direction of the Group.

Patrick was Schooled via The Savoy Group's Management Training Programme in London followed by four years feasibility and valuation consulting with PKF and HVS International covering Europe, Middle East and Africa.

With a career spanning the Middle East, North America, the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, and Southern Africa, Fahad has managed projects exceeding USD 7 billion.

His diverse background includes roles at Forbes Architects, Global Destinations Development LLC, IFA Hotels & Resorts, and Raimon Land PLC, where he focused on project management, consultancy, and financial reorganization. Fahad has led project teams, formed design teams, and managed extensive vendor contracts, pioneering innovative construction management methods for commercial developments with high-profile clients.

At Kuwait Real Estate Company, Fahad oversees a USD 1.2 billion portfolio, driving substantial increases in market cap and assets. In recent years, he has been instrumental in developing a wide range of projects, including residential, hospitality, and staff housing. His expertise in project management, financial analysis, and real estate development has been crucial in the successful execution of these diverse initiatives. By creating attractive properties and amenities, Alshamlan's projects have contributed to the company's overall investment strategy and long-term success. His leadership and vision have been key factors in positioning Kuwait Real Estate Company as a prominent player in the region's real estate market.

He was previously at a DIFC-based investment manager and worked in the UK for large FTSE 100-listed entities as well as private funds. He has transacted over $2billion of deals in the UK, UAE, and US markets, specializing in the residential and healthcare sectors.
